AMPS Power | Agriemach Make Front Cover
We are proud to report that a photo of Agriemach SCR Commissioning Engineer James Weeks was used on the front cover of AMPS Power magazine 2015 Issue 4. This particular photo was taken during the commissioning of the Selective Catalytic Reduction System installed on a Perkins 4000 series natural gas engine, inside the new Crossrail station at Canary Wharf. The engine offers a gross engine power output of 393kW and a raw nitrogen oxide value of 500mg/Nm3 – Mr Weeks commissioned this particular system to bring this raw NOx value down to sub 50mg which was the requested limit for this particular site.

Agriemach are now stocking this DEI developed perfect tool to tighten Stainless Steel Locking Ties when securing exhaust insulation wrap. This tool saves time and hassle while providing a professional looking result. Simply slide the tool on the end of any ¼” nut driver, engage the tie, and twist. This gets the tie nice and secure. This Locking Tie Tool will fit on the end of any standard ¼” drive extension so working in tight spaces is not a problem. This specialty tool works with all popular styles of stainless ties - up to ½” wide.

Agriepure™ FG Series Fuel Filters
We have added yet another extensive filter series to our range of Fuel Filters – The Agriepure™ FG Series Fuel Filters are available in a wide range of flow rates which are suitable to be fitted to engines and fuel delivery systems. Our FG-60 filters are commonly used on engines that require high efficiency filtration, acceptable flow rates along with offering the ability for instant inspection of the fuel. Our FG-105 range offers a selection of filters ranging in flow rates from 60-525 litres per minute. Our filters separate free water and filter particulates down to 5 micron in size.

Selective Catalytic Reduction | Power Generation
Agriemach have had a busy start to 2015 with one of our SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) applications being commissioned in January. The Crossrail site at London’s Canary Wharf will be one of the largest Crossrail Stations. Like the nearby Canary Wharf Tube Station, the new Crossrail station is being built in dock water area, in this case the North Dock of West India Quay. Agriemach have supplied the NOx Abatement Equipment for the CHP exhaust gas at the new Crossrail Station which – along with a proposed retail park and areas – will be six storeys high, approximately the size of One Canada Square effectively laid on its side.

Chelsea and Westminster SCR System
Agriemach were recently asked to visit Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to establish if we could repair the faults on their Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems in use with their 1.2MW engines. After our initial site survey we were able to locate the user manual for these particular PLC units, along with the required data in order to resolve the problems they were having.

Exhaust Jacketing Kit Replacement for CAT 3516
Agriemach were recently commissioned to provide full replacement thermal jacket kits for a selection of CAT 3516 engines where the existing insulation had deteriorated and failed. The customer sent us the original used thermal jackets which we took and created patterns for, enabling us to recreate the exact sizing of the jackets but improve them by using superior material for the job.

Agriemach will be exhibiting at this year’s Energy4PowerLive show on November 5th at booth 46. We will also be giving a talk on NOx Abatement Technology during the morning. Registration is FREE and the show is definitely not one to miss.
