NOx Reduction Comes to London Town
Agriemach have recently commissioned their NOx Reducing Selective Catalytic Reduction System on a 500kW Perkins Natural Gas engine, at the Battersea Reach Development in London. The scope of works consisted of Consultation, Engineered Design, Production and Delivery, Ancillaries Supply such as Bulk Urea Tank & Transfer Pump, Urea Delivery and Remote Fill Point Cabinet, along with Bespoke Thermal Insulation to cover the Reactor. Cold and Hot Commissioning. This particular system was required to meet a NOx limit of 15mg/Nm3@5%O2 – a 98% NOx Reduction. Battersea Reach is the award-winning riverside development that has created a coveted new residential address for London. The 13 acre riverside site is located close to the heart of the capital, on the banks of the River Thames. Should you spill AdBlue® on your hands, simply wash it off with water. Why does AdBlue® quality matter? Various actions can affect the quality of AdBlue®. To prevent contamination, it is imperative that foreign materials do not come into contact with the solution. Using contaminated AdBlue® can lead to expensive catalyst replacement costs. The AdBlue® trademark is currently owned by the German Association of the Automobile Industry (VDA), who ensures quality standards are maintained in accordance with ISO 22241 specifications. Ensure that you only buy a reagent for your SCR Scrubber System that bears the name AdBlue® with the registered trademark (®) on the product label. Chalwyn Air Intake Shutdown Valves
Agriemach offer a complete range of Air intake shutdown valves (often referred to as AISV, ASOV or Emergency Shutdown valves, ESD) and systems which provide emergency overspeed shutdown protection for diesel engines. They are the most effective way of preventing a runaway situation. The valves completely block the engine air intake system, cutting off an uncontrolled external fuel source and the air required to keep the engine running.

Piusi Pumps
Agriemach offer a wide range of electric pumps specifically designed for fuel transfer. Our Piusi range includes self-priming, CE-certified AC pumps (120/230 V) and DC pumps (12/24 V) DC. Compact and easy to handle, they offer long service life and excellent value for money. Our Piusi pumps can be supplied with a wide range of accessories that make them quick and easy to install on any plant. The range of models for diesel fuel consists primarily of vane pumps, which ensure high flow rates and operating cycles of up to 30 minutes. They are all self-priming and equipped with a By-pass valve to avoid over-pressurisation. The range of pumps for oil includes gear pumps (Viscomat gear), capable of transferring dense fluids at high pressures without damaging the motor. The Visco-Flowmat is a particularly acclaimed model, which switches the pump on and off automatically. Agriemach also supply membrane pumps for AdBlue and water. The pump is made with materials that are compatible with aggressive liquids, such as urea (AdBlue) and screen-wash. Fuel Polishing System – Diesel Filtration
The Agriepure range of Fuel Polishing Systems from Agriemach offers superior efficiency of filtration and reliability. We offer 10 standard Fuel Polishing Systems which accommodate a selection of different flow rates, inlet and outlet sizes and of course choice of power options. We also offer a bespoke build service, as we believe it is important to accommodate our customer’s needs for diversity and preference. Our Standard mobile fuel polishers, Systems 1 to 4, offer flow rates from 25 litres per minute, to 80 litres per minute, while filtering particulates down to as little as 2 micron in size and separating free water. We decided not to “reinvent the wheel” and make our own filters; so we use only original Parker Racor filters to provide our customers with reliable high filtration efficiency. These systems are available in 12v, 24v, 110v, 230v and ATEX Pneumatic driven pump choices. Our DEP-280 High Flow Fuel Polishing System is used for bulk fuel tanks for either polishing the fuel or transferring the fuel, occasionally from old tank to new. This system offers filtration of particulates down to 5 micron, water separation and a flow rate of 280 litres per minute. The system is built with a primer pump to fill the system, before switching over to the main pump which provides the high power necessary to move fuel at such a high flow. The clear bowl filter assemblies offer instant inspection of the fuel as it is being filtered, and offers a drain valve at the bottom of each filter chamber for draining the separated water. Our line of fuel polishing cabinets are second to none, boasting remote automation through an intelligent control panel, accepting signals from multiple switches and sensors in order to monitor and maintain itself. We offer remote signalling such as a link to the building management system, email or telephone call out should the system experience an event or unscheduled shut down. There are a whole host of options available which include a selection of flow rates, filtration efficiencies down to 1 micron including water separation; diesel bug killer magnet packs and even fuel heating systems for those very cold applications where the fuel begins crystallising. We also offer ATEX certified systems for use in hazardous areas, petrochemical, offshore etc – as well as a unique demulsification system for separating water that has mixed with the fuel. Spark Arrestors
Agriemach supply Spark Arrestors globally and for many different applications where internal combustion engines are being used in hazardous zones. Spark Arrestors are commonly used for vehicles and machinery that will be working on sites that have flammable Materials, Liquids and/or Gasses that could ignite if they came into contact with sparks produced from an engine. Likewise, Agriemach also offer Chalwyn Air Intake Shutdown Valves to starve the engine of oxygen should fuel become airborne and allow the engine to begin over-speeding. A recent installation of both spark arrestors and Chalwyn valves on 2x Nissan Navara Pick Ups saw a seamless installation with adjustment on the valve taking no time at all. Crossrail Diesel Particulate Filter | NRMM Register
As part of the London Best Practice Guidance which affects NRMM (Non Road Mobile Machinery), it is a requirement that most machines operating in London are fitted with an emissions aftertreatment device such as a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Major developments such as the Crossrail Project fall into the high risk category for exhaust emissions and Agriemach have been on hand to assist the machine operators in retro-fitting suitable filtration systems in order to meet the requirement.

SCR System, London – CHP
Part of the BREEAM guidance is to ensure that new developments installing CHP (Combined Heat and Power) Systems, will meet the low NOx targets that have been set out. Agriemach were asked to assist with meeting this target during a new CHP installation in London. The NOx limit was set at 15 mg/Nm3 which was a high reduction of 97%. Working very closely with the CHP packager, Agriemach Designed, Manufactured, Installed and commissioned this Selective Catalytic Reduction system to perfectly meet this limit.
