Safety is Number One
Earlier this week some of the Agriemach Ltd Emissions Team were proud to attend our customer E.ON Energy’s “Safety Stand Down” seminar for their engineers and service supply partners. The session focused on something simple but powerful - stopping work, putting tools down, and talking openly about engineer safety on site. From practical do’s and don’ts, to reinforcing the importance of “Stop. Risk assess. Work safe.”, the message was clear: safety must always come first. There is no job so urgent that it cannot be done safely. Important topics such as lone working and mental health were also discussed, reminding us that safety is not just physical - it’s about looking after ourselves and each other. The key takeaway? We, as individuals, are the most important part of every working day. When we leave the house in the morning, getting home safe and well to our families must always be the priority. Agriemach Celebrates 50 Years in business!
This year Agriemach Ltd celebrates 50 years in business! That is worth celebrating!! Will there be a party to celebrate? You bet there will……but let’s wait for some warmer weather. More to follow…. In the meantime and once a month for the rest of 2026 we will be sharing photos and brief descriptions of the journey to this wonderful 50 year milestone. Kick starting photo No.1 is of course the man who built the business all those years ago - Mr George Kallmann - who incidentally also celebrated a milestone 80th Birthday a few months back! So many celebrations! Customers & Suppliers ask about the business name - what does it mean? Agriemach Ltd is simply made up from the words “Agricultural Machinery” as the UK business first started as a dealer for International Harvester. This was from the success of Trans Continental Supplies; a business George built from the ground up in Zambia serving the sugar estates, forestry commission and commercial farmers, before moving to the UK with his wife and first born. Zero Ammonia Slip Guarantee with the NOxMASTER™ SCR System As emission regulations become increasingly stringent across power generation, process industries, and large combustion plants, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) has emerged as the most reliable technology for deep NOₓ reduction. However, conventional SCR systems often face a persistent challenge: ammonia slip - the release of unreacted ammonia into the exhaust stream. The NOxMASTER™ SCR system addresses this challenge head-on by delivering a Zero Ammonia Slip Guarantee, without compromising NOₓ reduction efficiency. Understanding Ammonia Slip in SCR Systems In an SCR system, ammonia (or urea-derived ammonia) reacts with nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) over a catalyst to form harmless nitrogen and water vapor. Last week a few members of our Emissions team headed north to the Lowry Hotel in Manchester for the AMPS Awards for Excellence 2025 – and what a night it was! Generator Emissions Testing | Agriemach Ltd
Some members of the emissions team were treated to the bright lights of London last week while working late testing the emissions from a number of generators. Part of our emissions testing service is to sample the exhaust gas, post aftertreatment system, and report on exhaust gas toxins such as NO, NO2, NOx at requested O2 dilution reference, actual O2, CO, Temperature & backpressure – along with recording the speed at which an aftertreatment system reduces the NOx emissions in line with the customers permit conditions after the generator starts.
