AdBlue Storage | London Hospital
One of our busy installation teams were out yesterday delivering this new bulk AdBlue tank to another London Hospital in order to optimise AdBlue storage feeding the SCR systems on these 2x MTU 16V 4000L62 1.5MWe Natural Gas CHP`s. Level -2, with plenty of existing services to brush past. Having the increased storage capacity will reduce the frequency of deliveries for the busy service area of this Hospital, along with a direct link from the tank to both of the AdBlue dosing systems. We just love an optimised solution!

RED DIESEL | 1st April 2022 | Are You Ready?
The red diesel rebate has been a hot topic amongst many industries over the last year. However, after careful consideration earlier this year, the Chancellor and the government have decided to proceed with abolishing the use of red diesel from the 1st April 2022 in a number of sectors in order to help reduce the impact that fossil fuels have on the planet. Specifically, their aim is to reduce commercial use of red diesel, especially in the plant and construction sectors, and to encourage the use of other fuels such as white diesel or alternative greener options. What does “Engineered Solution” really mean?
It simply means that a challenge requires a solution with all aspects considered, in order to achieve the required successful outcome. This example “challenge” was for a client that had completed a new energy centre and received the unfortunate news that they must reduce their NOx Emissions in order to obtain a permit to run. Agriemach were presented with a finished Energy Centre with no space consideration for any of the required equipment – so we did what we do best and engineered a solution! The solution enabled the client to have our retro-fit NOxMASTER SCR System with Integrated Silencing, along with Exhaust Gas Heat Recovery all built into a design that fit into the available space; while also engineering the system to keep the backpressure under the maximum allowable for the CHP leaving room for operational exhaust fouling. Virus Air Filtration Arrives at Felbridge Primary School
On Wednesday 29th September 12x portable Virus Air Filtration units arrived at Felbridge Primary School for each classroom, as well as communal areas. The feedback up to the 15th November is: I think it is fair to say that the children were initially fascinated by the changing lights on the units and thought they could make them change colour by breathing on them! Staff I think feel reassured that there is an extra something in the classrooms providing some additional protection. Comparing sickness rates from Sept 2019 - 15.011.19 and Sept 2021 - 15.11.21 sickness rates are down by 1.8%. (we looked at a period of sickness pre-Covid to make the comparison).

CHP NOx Reduction | 1.5MWe Variable Load
Some people consider Friday the 13th to be an unlucky day on the calendar; however; this was not the case for the Agriemach Emissions Team while commissioning and proving this 1.5MWe Variable Load CHP and achieving the required NOx ELV as stipulated by the local authorities. This well engineered power generating machine has been fitted with an Agriemach NOxMASTER™ Silenced NOx Reducing SCR System along with Exhaust Gas Heat Recovery. The NOxMASTER System achieved a 90% NOx Reduction at each load step, which allows for this CHP to operate at different load variants depending on the demand. MCPD Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) | Cummins 1400 kVA
This 1400 kVA Cummins Diesel Generator has been fitted with a Silenced NOxMASTER™ Selective Catalytic Reduction System to reduce its NOx Emissions to below 190mg/Nm3@15%O2 in line with the Medium Combustion Plant Directive permit conditions. Agriemach designed this compact skid mounted solution to meet silencing requirements of 65 dBA@1m, which was engineered into the design to keep the overall footprint, as well as backpressure, as small as possible. Not only that, but the system has been design as a “plug and play” solution which simply required power to the PLC, signals to and from the engine controller and of course the reductant (AdBlue) in the tank. This saves a vast amount of installation time and optimises every aspect for our clients.
