HEAT SHIELD - MUFFLER/CATALYTIC CONVERTOR KIT The 40” x 24” Mylar Heat Shield is made of woven silica with a flexible Mylar finish. The highly reflective heat shield can be installed between the catalytic converter or muffler to reflect radiant heat away from the undercarriage of the car. Kit includes all necessary fasteners. Protects against radiant heat up to 2000 degrees and can withstand direct continuous temperatures of 750 degrees Fahrenheit.

Excellent product — exactly as described.

Used this on a JCB 3CX turbo downpipe. Fits perfectly, holds up very well to heat cycles. Much better than the fibreglass wrap I used previously — no itching, easier to handle. Will definitely be ordering again.

Good quality wrap for the price. Arrived next day which was great. The 50mm width covered my headers nicely with a bit of overlap. Holds up well after a few heat cycles.

Decent product, application tricky without soaking first.

Wrap itself is good quality but I'd strongly advise soaking in water for 10–15 mins before wrapping — it makes it much more pliable and easier to apply. Didn't do this first time and it was frustrating. Product is fine though, no complaints.
